NGS has quickly assembled a portfolio of highly flexible storage assets across several markets. The company looks for high deliverability assets in well-connected and liquid markets.

Tres Palacios Gas Storage, a wholly-owned NGS entity, started operations on October 1, 2008 for its first of three caverns. The other two caverns of this facility located in Matagorda County, Texas are scheduled to come into service over the next 18 months.

On the other side of the Gulf, Leaf River Energy Center has access to two salt domes further downstream than any proposed or operating salt facility in the Gulf Coast. NGS has acquired the Windy Hill Gas Storage project, a bedded salt storage project near the Cheyenne Hub in Morgan County, Colorado. Most recently, NGS has announced a new greenfield storage and associated transportation project located between the Perryville and Delhi area in Northeast Louisiana, Gulf Coast Connector.
